The Coma Cluster - Press Kit

The Coma Cluster is a concept developed by the Icelandic artists Hallvardur Ásgeirsson and Siffvilnius, together with others scattered over several countries and continents, they've sculpted a vision from sound where we see a glimpse of our world from another point of view. The album seeks to introduce a new musical harmony, an organic sound capturing contemporary humanistic culture viewed from a remote perspective such as Iceland provides in its isolated other worldliness. The result is an intricately layered thought provoking rock album providing an array of elements ranging from droning psychedelic rock, otherworldly vocals, delicate melodies to the desperate cries of phonetic whales as interpreted by Vardi's signature soundscaping.

The band is a true internet collaboration i.e. the first album was made in three continents and four countries i.e. America, Europe and Asia, New York, Reykjavik, Kobenhagen and Tokyo. It started on 20 July 2008 and ended on 23 October 2009.

None of the song on the album Observation have been performed live except gAldur. It was performed live at the U.N. with the respected audience of Ban Ki Moon and Bill Clinton and others honorable members.
